Quality!
By Jaybird from Coshocton, Ohio on 8/10/2009

I am currently training for the Air Force.. I have to say the second I put this shoe on it was very comfortable and to run with it was even better..Thanks to a very cute sales girl she told me she recommends Brooks for running and I would have to agree! Thanks for getting me going down the right path!!

Great Shoe
By OH-58D from alabama on 7/7/2009

I am in the military and I run all the time. I just had to get rid of my first pair of the Switch 2’s. Against my better judgement I bought a pair of ASICS GT 2140’s and after my first run in them I had two huge blisters on both my arches. I took the shoes back and went with the switch 2’s again. I will never run in anything but brooks ever again!!

Not bad, just a little clunky…, June 10, 2009
By Eduardo Nietzsche (Houston)

I chose this shoe because it has extra forefoot padding and I’m a forefoot/midfoot runner, which the Infiniti is supposed to designed for—unlike my previous Brooks running shoes the Trance and Adrenaline, the Infiniti has the rollbar not in the heel but in the midfoot, around the arch area. This is supposed to gently curb LATE-STAGE pronation and thus create something like a hybrid neutral-stability shoe.

Unfortunately, I find that this shoe feels strangely heavy and bulky. The forefoot is also narrower and tighter than in the other 2 models, which led to my toes getting a little numb after about 20 minutes…probably should have ordered it a half size bigger than usual. I re-laced the shoe skipping the first set of eyelets in order to loosen up the forefoot a bit, which has helped.

The other problem is that this shoe is not very flexible, surprisingly enough. I have taken to wearing it on long walks or shopping excursions in order to break it in more…I think it might have TOO MUCH cushioning! Have put about 50 miles on it so far and I do feel it improving a bit, not unlike the Trance which also needed a long break-in time not due to inflexibility but due to too much control.

In retrospect I probably should have just bought the Brooks Defyance, which is identical to the Adrenaline just without the stability gizmos.

Also because I am in the process of transitioning to barefoot running (see my review of the Vibram Five Fingers) I am probably noticing the bulk of traditional running shoes far more than usual.

One thing this shoe is quite good for though is skipping rope, which I do on the balls of my feet and then the extra forefoot cushioning does feel very good. (amazon.com)

Solid shoe for “tweeners”
By Scott 33626 Verified Reviewer from Tampa FL on 9/7/2009

Switched into these when Adrenalines because too much shoe and started causing some knee pain. The Infinity has great cushioning, particularly in the forefoot. Overall the Infinity feels great but just a bit on the heavy side for speedwork and shorter races. But this will probably be my marathon shoe due to the cushioning. (brooksrunning.com)

5.0 out of 5 stars I love to walk!, April 10, 2009
By Kaley Cook “Beautiful Soul” (Small Town, Idaho USA)

Two years ago when I started training for a half marathon I walked into a expensive shoe store and they watched me walk and talked about my foot shape ect. They suggested the Axiom 1 Running Shoe. I have loved it ever since, they’ve taken me a lot more places then around the track. Though it probably wasn’t good for the shoe we went all through the hikes in Zion National Park. They where great for the “Subway” since once they got wet, they dried easy because of the netted fabric on the shoe. I’m finding the Axiom 2 to be even more durable and a great fit.
