This is my second pair of Brooks running shoes. I had the Glycerin model before. Compared to the Glycerin, the Ghost is heavier weight, and has a wider toe box, and has a little more cushioning/stability. I loved my Glycerins but wore them out. I wore my usual size 7.5 in the Glycerins and ordered an 8 in these since it said to buy a half size bigger. They fit great. Getting a high quality pair of running shoes is essential. When I bought these and ran in them for the first time after using my Nike and New Balance running shoes, I was amazed at the difference. These shoes have so much more cushioning than the $40-50 Nike and New Balance running shoes. When I ran in those, the fit was fine, but every time my foot hit the pavement, I felt it a little bit in my knee and shin and foot joints. But when I wear my Ghost running shoes, I don’t feel anything in my legs or feet. It’s like running on pillows. So if you want a shoe that protects your joints, I highly recommend the Brooks Ghost running shoes.
